The Delhi government has approved two schemes including the Chief Minister Monument Adoption Scheme and a grant-in-aid scheme to conserve and develop the city’s protected heritage monuments, allowing private firms, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and other institutions to adopt 75 monuments for five years. The government will also provide grants of up to ₹2 crore for specialised conservation and restoration work

The Faizabad Bar’s got to a resolution to deny legal representation to the accused in the Ram Temple embezzlement case. In a 2010 judgment in A.S. Mohammed Rafi v. State of Tamil Nadu, S.C. declared that such resolutions by Bar bodies were “wholly illegal, against all traditions and professional ethics”. This judgment that even a “wicked” person has a fundamental right to a competent advocate.
